Pantone 2017 color of the year - Greenery

Whoo hoo, Pantone really gets me this upcoming year! Matches my blog background, and is the color I'd love to paint a single wall in my bedroom. I'd attempted to organize my papercrafting area, which is about the space you can fit a large table behind the door leading into my bedroom ... but so far all I've done is make piles and purchase a small bookcase. I'm stuck in a rut here. MUST GET MOTIVATED!

So, how motivating is THIS COLOR?! The 2017 Color of the Year is PANTONE 15-0343 Greenery, which they describe as "a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature's greens revive, restore and renew." I'm in full agreement and LOVE IT!

happy Earth Day!

We celebrate Earth Day on April 22 every year to support protection of the environment. First celebrated in 1970 (I was at the kick-off event in Philadelphia), it's now coordinated by the Earth Day Network and recognized by more than 193 countries world-wide. One of its major initiatives is to plant more than seven-billion trees over the next five years.

We're celebrating at Kettering University in Flint MI by participating in a Recycling Challenge. If you're local, please drop your plastic water bottles off at the dumpster located by our bell tower!

a stamp camp fav

a friend recently commented that it was hard to think about Easter with the snow ... and then this week ended with temps in the low to mid 50's so say goodbye snow! we're bound to have another cold snap as it's only late February but I'm enjoying the unseasonably warm weather! I see on Facebook that my sis and her dog enjoyed walking the trails already this a.m.; way to go, KAZ! I'm planning on heading out walking shortly too!

anywho, here's one of my fav cards from this week's Stamp Camp, led by the lovely and talented Angie Jarman, w/o deets as she provided all supplies in kit format for us. she also provides plenty of sentiment stamps should you want to change the focus of your card, but this one's fashioned after her sample.

thanx for stopping by, and thanx again, Angie, for the t'riffic cards! I was the 2nd one done this week as I wanted to get home to catch most of the Grammys!

Go Red!

The American Heart Association hosts what's known as the Go Red For Women movement. They urge everyone to support the battle against heart disease by wearing red on National Wear Red Day® – Friday, Feb. 5. National Wear Red Day is a campaign to raise awareness in the battle against heart disease in women.

We anticipate that thousands of people will be wearing red to show their support. Both men and women everywhere are encouraged to participate and show their support by wearing red on Feb. 5.

I will be and I hope you are too!
